Ronald Lyman Vold, age 75, of Osseo, WI passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.
Ronald was born on December 30, 1938 in Osseo, to Edwin and Gladys (Isum) Vold.
Ronald graduated from Lincoln Hill High School in 1957. After graduation Ron worked for Falls Dairy as a certified mechanic and milk hauler until they were acquired by AMPI. After working several years for AMPI, Ron contemplated retirement, but had the opportunity to work with his brother “Bud” at Midwest Farm Supply.
Ron was a casual sportsman. He enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, Badgers and the Bucks. He also kept up on the current events. Most of all Ron enjoyed tinkering with all things mechanical and spending time with the grand kids.
Ron is survived by three sons; Robin (Mimi) Vold of Atlanta, GA; Michael (Anissa) Vold of Wisconsin Rapids; and James Vold of Osseo. Two daughters; Penny (Roger) Flikkeshaug of Osseo; and Connie (Craig) Oas of Altoona. One brother; Glenn (Donna) Vold of Brainerd, MN; and one sister; Darlene Fischer of Waterloo, IA. Thirteen grandchildren; Shelby, Taylor and Mackenzie Vold of Atlanta, GA; Brandon Vold of Eau Claire; Zachary and Jeremy Flikkeshaug of Osseo; Amanda, Jordan and Hannah Oas of Altoona; Annika, Rebekka, Andrew and Emily Vold of Wisconsin Rapids. Three great-grandchildren; Aiden Vold of Altoona; Morgan Vold of Eau Claire and Landon Flikkeshaug of Osseo.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Margaret (Nelson) Vold; his parents; Edwin and Gladys (Isum) Vold; one son; Timothy Vold and one brother; Stanley “Bud” Vold.
Services for Ron will be on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Lewis Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Osseo Cemetery.
Friends and family may call from 5-8 at the Schiefelbein Funeral Home in Osseo on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the church.
